Fantastic Ocean 3D Screensaver 1.6

Developed by Rixane Interactive, Fantastic Ocean 3D Screensaver is precisely what the names says it is - a screensaver that presents the ocean. But before we get into that, here are some other bits and pieces you need to know about this piece of software.

First of all, you need to know that the screensaver weighs in at some 4.5MB. The download should complete in a blink on a speedy internet connection. But on a less than spectacular one, I don’t think many people are willing to wait to download a wallpaper.

Especially when that wallpaper is not provided free of charge. That’s right, the Fantastic Ocean 3D Screensaver is not freeware. You can use it free of charge, but only during the trial period of 30-days. During this period you will have to content with a very annoying nag screen.

If you do decide to download and install Fantastic Ocean 3D Screensaver, you must know that it works with all versions of the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system. This includes the now quite old Windows XP, the badly publicized Windows Vista, and the latest iteration, Windows 7.

Once Fantastic Ocean 3D Screensaver kicks in on your Windows-powered computer, it takes you on a flight over the ocean. The 3D part in the application’s name means that you will not get to see a regular view of the ocean – instead you get to see a 3D version of the ocean that has been carefully created to resemble the real thing. You don’t get to see the ocean alone. You also see the rising/setting sun, which is rendered using hundreds of different shades of color.

You can look at the screensaver and just enjoy the ride over the ocean. The scenery is constantly changing, so you shouldn’t get bored with it too soon.
